In very exciting news...
today I have a special guest post about quirky spaces - right up my alley - enjoy!
Hi there! I'm Jessica, a writer for Arcadian Lighting. Every day I get to write about the latest interior design trends and the lighting fixtures that go with them. I'm delighted to be sharing some inspiring, quirky interiors. It's easy to forget that our homes should make us happy, and there's nothing wrong with going for the bright colors or unusual furniture that you love. I hope these rooms inspire you to try something different!
This cozy corner in a child's room is a wonderfully functional and quirky space. Part reading nook, part storage, the striped cushions add a playful touch to an already bright and energetic room.
Vibrant green and pink make an interesting, but very fresh pair in this bedroom vingette. The knit pillow adds an extra bit of quirky humor.
Beautiful chinoserie wall coverings and a mini wooden boat full of antique lanterns make this hallway and dining room a quirky, whimsical space. I love the Chinese lantern-esque pendant light and the soft grey and pink color palette.
A restroom is a pretty unusual place to decorate like a trendy, stylish art gallery, but the pale grey wall color combined with bright yellow fabric transforms this room into a cool space. The gold accents and ornate frames add a bit of luxurious.
Bright artwork and ample space keep this dining room current and very quirky. The bright, contemporary colors look fresh and lively against the all-white room. The exaggerated pendant lights must look brilliant at night.
The unconventional colors and patterns in this dining room are certainly quirky, but beautiful. The collection of porcelain vases make a charming, unexpected centerpiece in this room. And the organic-looking chandelier is simply awesome.
A shocking lime green wall color isn't the only feature that makes this bathroom quirky. Unusual flooring and bright accessories certainly make the room feel like a fun and child-friendly place.
Here's another example of an unusual choice of flooring that helps make a room fun and quirky. The bright shade of blue builds a great contrast with the white. I just love the blown-glass light fixtures and the wallpapered ceiling.
