I have been giving a lot of thought...

 
 
 
this week to remembering and to what exactly it is that constitutes a memory.

For me, it's all the little things like-


helping with the washing -

But most of all it was knowing that the door was always open and a cup of tea -

This weekend, our extended family will be remembering someone special. I hope your weekend will hold special memories too.

    Another lovely post! I find a lot of my memories are triggered by smells, partiuclarly of my Gran with whom I lived when I was little. Hope you enjoy your weekend.

    It is isn't e?! And a lot of times I find that it happens when you are not expecting it. I do have many many fond memories of my nan and even though it is almost five years ago I still really miss her. Thankyou for your kind words, they mean a lot.

    Thanks Signe - the trays are great aren't they? It's a pity the shipping is so hefty (as always!) otherwise they would already be on their way to me!

    Thankyou Deb! Smells do seem to trigger memories don't they? I lived with my nan for a while too when I was little. The smell of freesias especially makes me think of her.

    so many things remind me of different family members. particularly the smell of gardenias, they remind me of my favourite aunt!
