Sometimes you just can't see the forest for the...
trees!
This weekend is all about planting trees here in Australia and so today, I thought I'd take a look at our leafy friends.
Trees serve to remind us of the seasons -

and can help you to feel as though you are flying -

they can provide a means to while away the hours -

or to lose yourself to your imagination -

they can create a perfect backdrop for dining whether it's a simple picnic -

or something more elaborate -

Trees can even remind us of our "roots" -

and remember -
"A man doesn't plant a tree for himself. He plants it for posterity."
Happy, happy weekend to you,

Have a fantastic weekend Stephie. I love trees very much, and would love to ahve a hammock in the garden but don't have trees big enough! xxx
ReplyDeleteHello Stephie:
ReplyDeleteWhat an absolutely delightful post which through your carefully chosen images, and thoughtful words, and the way in which you have presented the two, becomes for the reader something approaching an illustrated poem.
As Mozart is to music, so we always feel that trees are to gardening. Happy, shady, weekend!
Hi Stephie,
ReplyDeleteThere is something about trees. A garden could not do without them. It would be so boring. You chose some beautiful images. Love the swings, the hammocks and the images of the outdoor tables!
Happy weekend,
Madelief x

ReplyDeletei was dreaming at climbing in trees again:)

Thanks Em! I have the same problem! Maybe you can get one on a frame - it's not quite the same though is it?
ReplyDeleteThankyou so much Jane and Lance for your lovely comment. The Mozart analogy is just perfect.
Hi Madelief. Yes! Trees really do make a garden. I want a swing with ribbons - so pretty!
Same to you e! Glad to have inspired you. We are having some lovely weather here in Sydney this weekend so a picnic is a pretty tempting proposition for me too!
Thanks Ingrid! It's been a long time since I've climbed a tree too. I wonder how we'd go?!
Thanks so much everyone for visiting and have a wonderful weekend, Stephie x
