I am off to Julian's Performing Arts Night at school. Whilst he has been playing the piano for a little over ten years, he has only been playing the tuba for a little over ten days - should be interesting!
Here's to a musical Wednesday,

super sweet -
snow globes -
for you -
on a Friday!
available from the lovely people at West Elm.
For most of us not living in the Northern Hemisphere this is about as close as we will get to having snow at Christmas. How very thoughtful of them therefore to be currently offering half price shipping.
Yes, there will be snow at ChezB this year - I bet you can't guess which one is on its way!
May your weekend be wonderful,

marks the spot!
I don't know about the rest of you, but I love a good pirate - think Johnny Depp - so today I thought I'd share with you some particularly stylish pirate products from the awesome people at 826 Valencia.
From fantastic -
for your walls -
to all sorts of other -
interesting paraphernalia -
all your swashbuckling needs are covered at this one stop pirate shop!
My favourite piece though is this amazing print -
I love it! Surely I can find a spare wall for it?
I am a big fan of the 826 National. I have both the "Advancement of Time" and "Vintage Time Travel" series of posters from 826LA at my place and they look fantastic. 826 National are a not for profit organisation which is dedicated to helping children in America improve their writing skills. They have eight locations across the states, each of which features a different retail experience. Profits from all sales are put back into the organisation - nice!
Happy Wednesday - maybe I have tempted you into releasing your inner buccaneer?

Whether they grace an indoor space -

are turned into homewares -

or are used to make a cake -

or table setting -
Left hand side: straws available from here and, on the right: "Yay!" flag and Omiyage
something above the ordinary, flags are a lot of fun when it comes to decorating.
My favourite type of flags though are those of the bunting variety.
or out -
Clockwise from the top left: Not on the High Street, Bay Tree Interiors, Unabashed Bliss, Kate Landers Events and Planet Stencil Library
They are such a simple yet effective way to turn things simple -
Top row: Oh! Crafts and Imprintables, Bottom row: Wedding Bee and Cabbages and Roses
into those which are truly special.
Happy weekend and I hope you enjoyed having a little fun with flags on this very sunny Friday!

Kevvie and me, StephieB!
Ikea was a lot of fun last Friday - it was good to catch up with the family over meatballs and pick up some sweet things for Christmas.
The most fun of all though was being able to pose for the cover of your very own Ikea Catalogue which was yours to take home with you. What a cool idea!
And, if you too like the idea of gracing the cover of a magazine, the good news is that there is still time to make it happen - you just need to visit Ikea Tempe this weekend. I guess it helps to live in Sydney too!

And, of course -
our bedroom wouldn't be complete without our lovely monkey friend!

a certain gorgeous girl was very excited to be celebrating her eighth birthday -
And, in true "girly" fashion, a horse theme was requested.
I could not believe my luck when I found some super cool horse wrapping paper and, from there -
a pink, aqua -
and white -
horse party came to life -
making said birthday girl very happy indeed!
And that's a wrap for this equine related week!
I am signing off early today as I am heading off to go shopping. Sydney's first full sized Ikea opened yesterday. It's 2.5km from the entry to the exit - Retail Therapy and a workout all in one - what more could a girl want?!
May your weekend be wonderful,

This week it's all about "The Race That Stops A Nation" (quite literally!) here in Australia and so, as a tribute to things equine, today I thought I'd share some rather amazing contemporary rocking horses.
They can be colourful in plastic -
The Daily Buzz
or look beautiful in timber -
And whether they are more literal -
If It's Hip, It's Here
or abstract -
The Alternative Consumer
in appearance, I am sure that they would make a great talking point in anyone's home.
Now I know that I am usually a girl who prefers her things vintage but I have to admit that I am a little smitten with these and I hope you like them too!
Happy, happy Wednesday,
